Meet The Team

The People Behind the Vision

When you work with us, you’re not just hiring a contractor—you’re partnering with a group of professionals who treat your project as if it were their own.

Jeremy Rust

Jeremy Rust founded Landscape Design Innovation Group (LDIG) in 2015 with a simple vision: to design and build outdoor spaces that are as livable as they are beautiful. With years of hands-on experience in landscape architecture and construction, Jeremy has earned a reputation for combining creativity with craftsmanship, delivering projects that enhance property value and elevate everyday living.

Licensed in North Carolina as a Landscape Architect, Landscape Contractor, Septic Contractor, Septic System Inspector, and Pool Contractor, Jeremy brings unmatched expertise to every project. His broad credentials allow him to consider every layer, from grading and drainage to pools and outdoor kitchens, ensuring that each design is both practical and inspiring.

Jeremy’s design philosophy is rooted in how people experience space. He considers sight, sound, texture, and movement to craft environments that are immersive, memorable, and deeply connected to nature.

At the core of LDIG is Jeremy’s commitment to collaboration and client satisfaction. He listens closely, communicates clearly, and leads every project with transparency and a focus on teamwork.

Outside of LDIG, Jeremy enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, and traveling with his wife, Kimberly, and their two boys, Henry and Charles. Their time outdoors together fuels his passion for creating spaces that bring families closer to nature.

Hugh Beckwith, CFO

Hugh serves as LDIG’s Chief Financial Officer. He focuses on removing administrative roadblocks so the team can stay focused on design and field execution. He also drives performance tracking and financial clarity, so leadership can see what is working, what is not, and what to do next.

Hugh joined LDIG in 2021 and brings over 30 years of CFO and entrepreneurial experience, plus nine years in management consulting. He earned his MBA at Harvard Business School. He is analytical and creative, and he enjoys solving complex problems and turning them into clear, simple decisions for the team.

He is most proud of strengthening LDIG’s internal management to match the company’s level of design and construction. Outside of work, Hugh enjoys golf and spending time in his backyard build by LDIG, usually posted up at the outdoor kitchen and bar with friends and family. If you want to find him on a workday, he’s probably in Excel.

JT Youmans

Director of Business Operations and Client Success

JT serves as LDIG’s Director of Business Operations and Client Success. He supports the company from both sides of the table. Internally, he focuses on sales, revenue goals, procurement, standards, SOPs, and training. Externally, he works directly with clients on project management, finances, design changes, selections, and the details that keep complex projects moving.

JT brings over 20 years of experience in operations and construction, including time as an owner / operator in the landscape design build space, plus general contracting and remodeling. That range gives him a strong ability to spot issues early, solve them during design, and keep the build organized with fewer surprises. He specializes in large scale projects that blend permanent structures or home additions with pools, vertical elements, and full landscape work. He is most proud of being a key part of LDIG’s growth over the last five years.

JT is a problem solver by nature and enjoys taking tough projects and making them workable. He defines success as quality construction, happy clients, and strong performance against LDIG’s internal metrics. Outside of work, he enjoys woodworking, fishing, and golf. A fun fact, he makes great pickles. His favorite stone is bluestone for its timeless look and versatility. His dream backyard includes a pool, pool house, and outdoor kitchen built for entertaining, good music, and time with friends and family.

Jeff Bryan

Field Operations Manager

Jeff serves as LDIG’s Field Operations Manager and supports HR actions. He keeps production moving, manages logistics, and helps the field team stay organized and accountable from start to finish.

Jeff is new to the professional landscape and outdoor living space, but he brings deep hands-on and leadership experience. He owned and operated a bathroom and kitchen renovation business for several years and is a skilled tile setter. He also spent years as a supervisor with the Fort Bragg Directorate of Public Works, overseeing operations and maintenance for facilities and infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he worked in law enforcement at both the state and federal level.

Jeff enjoys patio projects most because he sees the direct impact on how families use their outdoor space. He defines success as finishing with excellence, meeting client expectations, and delivering a true wow factor. Outside of work, he spends time fishing and hunting with his kids and friends, golfing, biking, and cooking outdoors. If you need him on site, he’s got a tape measure in hand, because nothing starts until the numbers are right.

Zach Jensen

Foreman

Zach serves as a foreman at LDIG. He drives day to day jobsite progress, keeps the crew focused, and stays on top of quality from the first layout to the final details. He has 10 years of experience in the landscape and outdoor living industry and brings strong technical capability, especially with piping and wiring, plus a steady push to stay well rounded across the build.

Zach enjoys pool projects most, especially the features that come with them. He is proud of becoming efficient in an excavator and takes a professional, hands on approach. He treats every client’s property like it is his own and holds the line on fit, finish, and cleanliness. He defines success as happy clients and beautiful work that the team can stand behind.

Outside of work, Zach spends time with his family and enjoys traveling to new places. His favorite way to be outdoors is camping and being in nature. On site, his go to tool is an impact drill. If you ask him to pick a favorite plant, it is a coral bark Japanese maple for its color. His dream backyard feature is a natural stone waterfall with a pond.

Jake Mennes

Foreman

Jake serves as a foreman at LDIG. He keeps his crew prepared each day, sets clear targets, and makes sure production stays on track so the project keeps moving. Jake grew up around outdoor work and has been hands-on with tools his whole life. He joined LDIG 11 months ago and has quickly built skill in how to build landscapes the right way, with the details that make them last.

Jake is a graduate of James Madison University with a BS in Engineering. His specialties at LDIG are grading, drainage, and hardscaping. He enjoys building patios and pergolas most, and he is proud of completing his first paver driveway, a large install that he and his crew finished at a strong pace. On the job, Jake breaks big projects into clear goals, demo, grading, hardscape, and works those targets every day.

Jake believes LDIG stands out because the team builds correctly and does not cut corners. He measures success by how clients feel during the build and when they see the finished result. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, doing personal projects, riding his ATV, and spending time with friends. A fun fact, he used to be a professional chainsaw carver who made wood sculptures. On site, his go to tool is a spade shovel, with a spring rake close behind. His favorite material is Marmiro travertine and marble. His dream backyard feature is a lighted basketball court and a koi pond.

Tiffany McCraney

Administrative Assistant

Tiffany serves as LDIG’s Administrative Assistant and supports the team across day-to-day operations. She has about a year and a half of experience in the design/build space and brings a wide set of strengths to the role, including organization, problem solving, employee relations, and a strong safety mindset. She is CPR and AED certified and holds a Class B CDL, which gives her a unique ability to support both the office and the field.

Tiffany is proud of developing and implementing LDIG’s safety program and leading monthly safety training. She focuses on getting tasks done accurately and on time, keeping communication clear, and supporting everyone on the team, from management to the crews in the field. She also plays a key role in the front end, often serving as the first point of contact for new clients. She enjoys giving people room to explain what they want and helping them turn ideas into a clear starting point.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys gardening, hiking, photography, antiquing, and spending time with her children near the beach, river, or lake. A fun fact, she likes building and fixing things, including working on cars, and she rides motorcycles. If you need to find her in the office, she will have a pen in hand. Her dream backyard feature is a retaining wall, a natural pond with layered planting, and a sunflower “room.”

Jay O’Shea

Draftsman

Jay is LDIG’s draftsman and the backbone of the technical layout work that makes complex builds run clean. His day-to-day work includes property surveying, building base maps, and producing everything from 2D plans to full 3D renderings. He has 14 years of experience in the landscape and outdoor living industry and brings strong capability across CAD, SketchUp, Lumion, D5 Render, and Trimble workflows.

Jay enjoys full scope pool projects on sloped topography, where precision and planning matter most. He is proud of being involved in The Patio from the earliest design stages through completion. He approaches his work with attention to detail and a steady focus on improving efficiency, because better drawings and better mapping lead to better builds.

Jay believes LDIG stands out through professionalism and deep knowledge, and he contributes by creating the spatial foundation the entire team builds from. Outside of work, he rides dirt bikes, spends time with family, and stays outdoors whenever he can. A fun fact, he is an avid reader. On the job, he can’t live without tool is Trimble. His favorite material is timber, because the design options are wide open. His dream backyard feature is a replica of ‘The Patio’, LDIG’s Outdoor Living Display.
