Landscape & Hardscape Crew Lead
The Role
You will lead a crew of 3 or more on high-end residential hardscape and landscape projects. You direct the work, own the schedule, and set the standard on the jobsite. This is not a babysitting role. We need someone who runs the job.
What You Will Do
- Lead daily crew operations from start to finish
- Read and execute landscape design and grading plans
- Install paver patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and custom features
- Operate excavator, skid steer, dump truck, and compaction equipment
- Coordinate with Project Manager on materials and schedule
- Conduct client introductions and final walk-throughs
- Complete daily timesheets and work orders
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hardscape and landscape installation experience
- Ability to read blueprints and grading plans
- Experience with pavers, retaining walls, and outdoor structures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Valid NC driver's license and clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
What You Get
Skilled Laborer
The Role
You are experienced in landscape and hardscape construction and you are ready to apply that experience on projects that actually challenge you. You work under a crew lead but you do not need your hand held. You know the work and you execute it.
What You Will Do
- Install hardscape, drainage, irrigation, plant material, and lighting
- Operate skid steer, plate compactor, and power tools
- Read plan drawings under crew lead direction
- Use carpentry skills as needed on custom features
- Demolish and dispose of materials safely
- Maintain a professional presence on all client properties
What You Bring
- Proven experience in landscape or hardscape construction
- Equipment operation ability
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
What You Get
General Laborer
The Role
You work hard, show up on time, and want to learn the trade. You will work alongside experienced crew members on residential projects and build your skills in a professional environment. Prior experience helps but what matters most is your attitude and work ethic.
What You Will Do
- Assist with hardscape, landscape, and drainage installation
- Operate hand tools and basic mechanical equipment
- Grade and prepare sites under crew lead supervision
- Keep the jobsite clean and equipment properly maintained
- Represent LDIG professionally on all client properties
What You Bring
- Strong work ethic and reliability above all else
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Willingness to learn and take direction
What You Get
Irrigation Specialist
The Role
You know irrigation systems inside and out. You can install, troubleshoot, and service residential systems without being supervised every step of the way. You coordinate with the crew, you own your scope, and you deliver a clean install every time.
What You Will Do
- Install and service residential irrigation systems from design plans
- Run pipe, set heads, wire controllers, and program timers
- Perform startups, winterizations, and service calls
- Coordinate with foremen on project sequencing
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues on-site
- Complete work orders and daily documentation
What You Bring
- 3+ years of residential irrigation installation and service
- Ability to read irrigation plans and specifications
- Knowledge of backflow prevention and local code
- NC irrigation certification preferred
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
What You Get
Pool Builder
The Role
You specialize in fiberglass and vinyl liner pool installation. You can take a project from excavation to water and you know every step in between. You work alongside our hardscape crew and you own your scope of work completely.
What You Will Do
- Install fiberglass and vinyl liner pools from dig to finish
- Set shell, plumb equipment, and connect all mechanical systems
- Measure, cut, and install vinyl liners to specification
- Install coping and decking in coordination with hardscape crew
- Operate excavator and skid steer during dig and backfill
- Conduct client walk-throughs at project completion
What You Bring
- 3+ years of fiberglass and/or vinyl liner pool installation
- Experience with pool plumbing and equipment installation
- Ability to operate excavation equipment
- CPO certification preferred
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
